MANILA -- Aside from boasting a luxurious ambiance, Solaire Resort & Casino’s Waterside has established itself as perhaps one of the country’s finest restaurants offering exquisite Latin-inspired dishes in the country.
But last Friday, June 21, Waterside launched an even more powerful invitation to the public by introducing “Weekend Jam,” where live jazz music is played to accompany and entertain diners.
“This (Weekend Jam) completes the Waterside experience,” explained Solaire’s director of entertainment Audie Gemora. “Posh ambiance, great food, and now, we have good music to complete this awesome dining experience. Really, a perfect way to cap the work week with friends or just enjoy some quality time with family on weekends.”
“Weekend Jam” happens every Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.
The first “Weekend Jam” performer was jazz artist Emcy Corteza Faustino, who performed three sets for the appreciative audience. In one of her sets, she paid tribute to Jacqui Magno, who passed on earlier that day, by performing the jazz icon's signature song “Capture The Changes.”
Months ago, chef Hylton Le Roux introduced a new menu that fuses traditional bold Latin flavors with unique, familiar Filipino kick, most evident in the Sisig Taco, Adobo Salmon, and the bulalo-like Caldo De Res.
Waterside also boasts of a wide variety of paellas, tacos, tapas and steaks.
