Returning to ABS-CBN, her home network for over two decades until 2016, was admittedly a momentous occasion for Kris Aquino, who faced members of the press Monday during the media launch of her comeback film.
Aquino, 47, is co-starring with Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia in the romantic-comedy film "I Love You, Hater." The Star Cinema production, directed by Giselle Andres, is releasing nationwide on July 11.
During the press conference for the movie — Aquino's first big ABS-CBN event in nearly two years — the actress-host shared a candid rundown of the worth of her outfit, explaining she had prepared to look her best.
"Gumastos ako for this, kasi kung aapak ka naman at babalik sa ABS-CBN, make sure na ang suot mo, alam nila... Who's from PEP here? Kasi bina-value niyo parati how much, e, so sasabihin ko na para madali niyo na lang ma-research," she said.
Aquino was pertaining to the entertainment news website PEP.ph, which occasionally includes in its reports the price of items worn by celebrities.
Enumerating all the pieces she wore, Aquino went on: "Limited edition 20th anniversary Roland Mouret po 'yung pants. Balmain 'yung blazer na suot. Alaïa 'yung shoes. 'Yung alahas na sinuot, makakabili ng condo, three-bedroom sa Rockwell."
Aquino's sequined pants costs about P120,000, according to PEP.ph, citing a listing from Net-A-Porter, an online fashion luxury shop.
Her blazer, reportedly wool, is priced at P150,000. Meanwhile, the actress' platform sandals are about P64,500.
The assortment of jewelry Aquino wore included a watch, several bracelets and rings, and a pair of earrings. Notably, her Cartier watch costs around P3.12 million, PEP.ph reported.
The bracelets that were identified, also from Cartier, are valued at P2.14 million, P1.75 million, P1.13 million, and P673,000 each.
The earrings and the rings, several of which appeared to be diamonds, have separate price tags altogether. Going by Aquino's reference to Rockwell, they are likely also in the million-peso range each.
Citing a real estate agent, PEP.ph reported that a condominium unit in Rockwell Center in Makati ranges from P30 million to P70 million.
