MANILA - Jane Oineza recently shocked netizens with her new pixie haircut, fueling speculations about her new look.
But in an interview on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on Monday, Oineza clarified that her transformation was simply because of her kontrabida role on “Precious Hearts Romances: Araw, Gabi.”
“This is really for 'Araw, Gabi.' Talagang hiningi po nila na para sa role, magpapagupit talaga ng super short hair,” she said.
“Para bagong Jane naman 'yung makikita, kasi Tito Boy, yung role ko din, kontrabida,” she added.
Asked if she had to think twice of playing an antagonist, Oineza said she’s up for the role because it is something that she has not done before.
“Project pa rin naman po ito ano man ang role. Parang mas challenging, mas exciting. Something different na hindi ko pa naggagawa,” she said.
Oineza plays the role of Amber Distrito, who was revealed to be plotting her revenge on lead character Adrian Olivar, played by JM De Guzman.
