MANILA -- Mimiyuuuh thanked his parents for accepting him for who he really is in a new video that celebrates Pride Month.
The vlogger, who now has millions of views and multiple endorsement deals under his belt, revealed that he did not even have to "come out" as gay to his mother and father.
"Ayun nga 'yung nakakatuwa sa aking parents po dahil hindi naman po talaga ako nag-come out. As in tinanggap na lang po nila talaga ako kung sino ako," Mimiyuuuh said in the video by ABS-CBN Lifestyle.
"Sobrang thankful po talaga ako sa kanila dahil, you know, without judgment, in-accept po talaga nila kung sino talaga ako," he added. "No buts, no ifs. Talagang in-accept nila ako."
Mimiyuuuh, who rose to fame because of the "Dalagang Pilipina" challenge, said he never felt the need to please other people because of the support he received from his parents growing up.
"Noong nag-full force na po talaga ako sa pananamit, sa aking buhok, sa aking galaw po talaga at pananalita, mas na-feel ko po talaga na tanggap nila ako," he said.
"Feeling ko po hindi ko na kailangan talagang i-please 'yung ibang tao kasi 'yung parents ko po talaga ay tanggap naman talaga ako," he added. "Basta ang mahalaga, masaya ang aking mga magulang."
For their part, Mimiyuuuh's parents assured the vlogger that they will always be there for him, as they advised others to be more understanding of the LGBTQIA community.
