MANILA -- Megan Young is bringing her love for gaming and her advocacy for the LGBTQIA community as she leads an esports benefit battle this week.
The Miss World 2013 titleholder is part of "VersUs: The TaskUs Battles," which will be held starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 19.
Fans can tune in on the Facebook page of TaskUs, a customer experience and content moderation company.
She will go head-to-head with Red Fernandez, a TaskUs employee and fellow gamer, in a Mobile Games tournament.
"I've been learning about HIV awareness and I want to help end the stigma surrounding these conversations," Young said in an Instagram post as she promoted her upcoming esports benefit battle.
"VersUs: The TaskUs Battles" aims to raise funds for the HIV advocacy group LoveYourself.
Proceeds from the exhibition game will be used for the delivery of HIV test kits and essential antiretroviral medicines to LoveYourself clients.
