MANILA -- Here's good news for those who have missed having birthday gatherings during the pandemic.
McDonald's has started to bring back its in-store parties as new COVID-19 cases in the country continue to decrease.
The fast food chain offers a birthday party package inclusive of a completely decorated and sanitized room, food, hosting services, invitations, party hats, activity tray mats, balloons, giveaways, and a gift for the celebrant.
Customers can choose from kid-friendly themes such as Happy, Barbie, Hot Wheels, and Thomas and Friends.
McDonald's said it is enforcing safety protocols such as wearing of face masks, social distancing, and continuous sanitation during parties. Celebrants are also requested to avoid blowing their candles and use alternative materials to prevent the possible spread of the virus.
Meanwhile, the fast food chain said it will continue to give customers the option of ordering party boxes for their homes. Each box includes a spaghetti platter, fried chicken, drinks, and party amenities for five persons.
