MANILA—It has been said that happiness is the smell of freshly baked bread.
And this type of pastry, dubbed the Pan de Kapamilya Ensaymada and prepared by Marissa Camaclang of Quezon City, spoke to the hearts of Kapamilyas and their supporters.
The ribbon-shaped bread features ABS-CBN’s colors of red, green and blue.
Marissa’s son, Miko, who posted pictures of the product on social media, said his mom enjoys baking these days with her new stand mixer that she received last Mothers’ Day.
She has since baked other goodies, such as Kalihim (pan de regla), cinnamon roll, and Spanish bread.
Pan de Kapamilya Ensaymada was Marissa’s way of supporting the network, the employees of which are in danger of losing their livelihood after forcing to shut down its broadcast operations.
While many Kapamilyas might want to grab a bite of Marissa’s Pan de Kapamilya Ensaymada, sadly, the bread is only for family consumption and her baking will remain a hobby.
