MANILA – After the adults finished casting their votes in the mid-term elections, children got to choose the next young leaders of the play city KidZania Manila in Taguig.
Fourteen children were proclaimed CongreZZ representatives on Thursday, taking on leadership roles and taking part in KidZania Manila’s programs for the next three years.
Senator Francis Pangilinan joined the induction of Happy Aguilar, Kim Amarille, Kate Amarille, Patricia Balatbat, Liz Castigo, Riley Catral, Gian Cera, Juhi Chandiramani, Angela de Guzman, Renz Emperador, Jiada Javier, Kian Jimenez, Jillian Salinas, and Andrea Sta. Maria as the new CongreZZ Kids.
“Each of you is a winner. True victory comes when you cooperate with other leaders to reach your shared goals,” Pangilinan said during the children’s inauguration rites.
KidZania Manila governor and CEO Cookie Bartolome, for her part, said: “As a CongreZZ member, you are also a servant leader. It is your duty now not just to listen to other kids but to be their voice that affects change… We are aiming to build a better world and it starts here at KidZania Manila.”
Aged 8 to 15 years old, the CongreZZ Kids are tasked to discuss trends that will affect their generation and connect with other representatives from KidZania facilities in other countries.
They will also be taught about financial literacy through BPI Jumpstart, a savings account offered exclusively to CongreZZ Kids.
Meanwhile, visitors still have until May 31 to avail of KidZania Manila’s various online promos.
