MANILA — Former "Star Patrol" anchor Ginger Conejero is looking forward to more memories with her mother, five years after the latter was diagnosed with cancer.
The ABS-CBN News journalist, who is now based in San Francisco with her parents, opened up about her mother's battle with cancer in an Instagram post on Wednesday (Manila time).
"Today reminds me of how we started our fight against cancer 5 years ago," she captioned their selfie. "My mom and I sitting in the infusion center, talking about everything under the sun, laughing, munching on the graham crackers they give out as she got treatment."
Mrs. Conejero was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in February 2015.
