MANILA – Bienvenido Alejandro, who co-founded the gifts and decor shop Papemelroti with his wife Corit, passed away last May 15.
He was 92.
“The Papemelroti family sends off our co-founder, our beloved Sir Benny. May he rest in God’s eternal peace,” read a post on the shop’s Instagram page.
His daughter, Patricia Alejandro Paterno, also took to Facebook to pay tribute to her father.
“Daddy, I will miss you terribly! You were always my champion when I needed you. You took care of us in many practical ways that we sometimes took for granted,” she said.
“But you were also a dreamer, always young at heart, always enthusiastic and bursting with plans and ideas and projects,” she added, sharing that her father’s wake is held at the Loyola Memorial Chapel in Commonwealth, Quezon City.
Established in the 1960s, Papemelroti has grown into a specialty shop carrying a wide array of paper products and other accessories mostly made from recycled materials.
