MANILA (UPDATED) - A 1-month-old Shih Tzu has taken the internet by storm with her adorable sleeping position.
Paningning, who sleeps on her back, has already inspired memes, cellphone wallpapers, and an internet challenge.
Janess Cua, who owns 11 dogs, said she did not expect Paningning's photos to become viral.
"Honestly hindi ko po ineexpect na mag trending siya kasi po always naman ako nagpopost ng pic ng mga dogs ko kasi nagiging happy ako 'pag pinipicturan ko po sila," Cua told ABS-CBN News.
Paningning was named by Cua's daughter, who gave the pup the name "maningning" (bright) because she stood out among the litter by having a different color and being born last.
"Naisip po nung daughter ko na kasi naiiba siya kaya maningning hanggang sa naging paningning po kasi gusto niya letter P," Cua said.

Paningning recently reached international stardom after being featured by New York's Complex magazine.
Cua said she's still unsure whether she would make an official Facebook page for the internet star, although some fan pages have already been created.
