MANILA -- Knowledge Channel has extended its emergency education program for children following the cancellation of classes in schools due to the coronavirus pandemic.

On Wednesday, Knowledge Channel Foundation president Rina Lopez Bautista said they will continue to air educational shows based on the fourth quarter curriculum of the Department of Education.

"Para tuloy-tuloy ang pag-aaral sa bahay, ongoing pa rin ang EduKalidad sa Kalamidad kasama ang Department of Education at Knowledge Channel Foundation," she said in a video posted on the Knowledge Channel Facebook page.

"Kaya mag-stay at home, learn at home muna tayo, mga bata," she added. "Kaya nating matuto kasama ang Knowledge Channel at ng internet."

Bautista went on to encourage people to stay indoors as much as possible and practice social distancing measures to support the government's efforts in curbing the spread of COVID-19.

"Kasama niyo ang Knowledge Channel Foundation sa pag-ahon sa pagsubok na ito," she said.

Knowledge Channel uploads a daily schedule of its programs for different grade levels on its Facebook page.
