MANILA -- Grab Philippines is giving users of the ride-sharing app a chance to use their rewards points at its special pop-up cafe.
For a limited time, Grab Café, located at the B3 of Bonifacio High Street in Taguig, allows Grab users the chance to use their rewards points either to enjoy a cup of coffee, or to buy Grab merchandise like mugs, t-shirts, or even Grab Café special blend coffee beans.
“We actually want to provide more than just a ride. So with Grab Café, we partnered with homegrown brands, who are advocates of the local coffee movement of quality coffee… There is always a good story behind coffee, and this is what we hope to bring to our riders,” explained Cindy Toh, Grab Philippines’ country marketing head during the opening of the café last Friday.
Users only need 1,000 points to grab a cup from three local coffee concepts featured in the café.
Makati favorite Yardstick serves up Iced Dark, and Iced White Coffee, while El Union Coffee, coming all the way from the surf capital of La Union, whips up Nitro Black Coffee, and Horchata.
New player AndThen Coffee dishes out something offbeat with a surprisingly potent Espresso Soft Serve.
In line with "providing more than just a ride," Grab Café also prepared themed nights for its riders.
Sunday was all about Spontaneous Sounds, which featured improv performances from improv theater company SPIT.
Upcoming themes include show tunes performances on March 6 with the One Night Stand Cabaret, looper artists for In the Loop night on March 7, some Friday dancing courtesy of Throwback Tunesday on March 9, and a spoken word extravaganza with Words Anonymous on March 10.
The Grab Café pop-up is open until March 11.
