Food shorts: Valentine treats, Osaka Ohsho's new menu, Denny's in Trinoma

1. Every day is Valentine’s Day with Baskin-Robbins

3. Denny's opens at Trinoma

Quezon City residents can now enjoy Denny's dishes as it opens its new branch in Trinoma on February 17. 

Get your pancake fix at Denny's with varieties like the Choco Overload Peanut Butter (fluffy buttermilk pancakes with chocolate chips that’s generously drizzled with hot fudge and peanut butter sauce) or the Blueberry (with blueberry compote). 

If you have a big appetite, try the Original Grand Slam (fluffy buttermilk pancakes, eggs, bacon strips and sausages), Breakfast Skillet (bacon and sausage topped with freshly made pico de gallo over pilaf rice served with sriracha sauce) and the French Toast Slam (thick slices of French toast with eggs, bacon strips and sausages) as well as assorted omelettes.

4. Red Ribbon's Valentine Black Forest Cake

This Valentine's Day, make your bae feel extra special with Red Ribbon's Valentine Black Forest Cake. Made with heart-shaped moist chocolate chiffon, this cake is adorned with red and brown chocolate vermicelli and topped with two adorable chocolate hearts. 

The limited edition cake comes in two sizes, the regular one priced at P565 and the junior size for P355 only. It is available nationwide until February 14 only.

5. Pancake House' P370 promo

This month, celebrate love and good food at Pancake House and avail of its Choose Any Two for only P370 promo. 

Choose from the Salisbury Steak smothered in rich gravy, a hearty helping of Spaghetti paired with the Best Taco in Town, tender melt-in-your-mouth Pork Vienna or the classic Pan Chicken with Gravy. All these come with a glass of iced tea.

6. Solstice by Ilustrado serves love

Impress your partner by taking her to Solstice by Ilustrado. Choose between Black Seabass, Balsamic Lamb Ribs or Steak, which come paired with a glass of wine from multi-awarded winery Banfi. This Valentine's dinner is priced at P2,000+, with wine pairing at P3,500+. It will be available until February 16 only.

Meanwhile, the restaurant also offers an executive set. This month’s choices include Pan-seared Dover Sole Amandine, Slow-Braised Angus Beef Shortplate and Mushroom Lasagna. The three-course meal is available for lunch and dinner at P650+.

7. Osaka Ohsho launches hip, young menu

Osaka Ohsho turns three this month and kicked off the festivities with an Instagram party that featured some of its their newest menu offerings.

Who thought traditional Spanish and European flavors could work so well with Japanese cuisine? Check out the cross-cultural flavors of the Truffle Gyoza, Chori Gyoza and Japanese Paella.

A hipper, fresher version of the appetizer Nori Nachos was another crowd favorite with its winning combo of deep fried battered nori sheets topped with gyoza meat, Japanese mayonnaise, furikake and bonito flakes.

Continuing the theme of playful twists, the guests were also served new items such as the Matcha Butter Tonkatsu, Salmon Cheese Aburi, Gyoza Tantanmien and Black Pepper Gyudon.
