MANILA – It’s been exactly a year since Korina Sanchez first became a mother.
The “Rated K” host took to Instagram on Wednesday to mark the first birthday of her twin children with her husband, former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas.
Posting a photo of the children – named Pepe and Pilar – Sanchez said: “Happy first birthday to my twin true north stars.”
In another post, she looked back on her decision to become a mother in her 50s.
“For a long time, I was thinking it would probably never happen for me. But I could not let my life pass without even trying. And now, every tomorrow is the best day yet to come,” the former “TV Patrol” anchor said.
Sanchez got to have children of her own for the first time in 2019, when she and Roxas had Pepe and Pilar via gestational surrogacy in the United States.
She and Roxas “decided to freeze our embryos before my biological clock stopped ticking,” allowing them to embark on their “best live adventures” before building a family.
