COMING SOON IN PH: NINE FRESH
A Taiwan-inspired dessert shop from Singapore will soon be available in Manila.
Nine Fresh specializes in colorful desserts in three signature bases – bean curd, grass jelly, and ai yu jelly which is made from fig seeds and sweetened with black sugar.
Each cup, priced at P90, can be topped with taro balls and other ingredients such as beans and peanuts.
The first Philippine branches of Nine Fresh will be located at SM Manila and SM Fairview, with opening set in late February to early March.
FOODPANDA RIDERS LEAVE WORK TO HELP CALAMITY VICTIMS
The food delivery app Foodpanda stayed true to its promise of making meals available to all – particularly to victims of calamities.
Foodpanda riders recently interrupted their schedule to bring food to affected families in Tagaytay and Tacloban.
A total of 300 families and 1,200 evacuees in the two areas benefitted from what was part of Foodpanda’s two-year-old “global soup kitchen,” where the app partners with various orphanages and communities.
SEOUL TRAIN RENOVATED
Seoul Train recently underwent a renovation, with the Korean restaurant’s new and improved look unveiled at a “Chew-chew Thursday” event attended by media and other Internet personalities.
The restaurant, which specializes in grilled meat, also added new items to the menu – Spicy Chicken Feet, Tangerine Chicken, Naengjangtang (beef tripe and intestine soup), and Kimchi Godeungo-Tongjorim Jjigae (spicy fish stew).
It also has dosirak or Korean box meals, each with a choice of viand – from bulgogi to samgyeopsal – plus kimchi, fish cake, and rice.
Seoul Train is located at Sgt. Esguerra Avenue in Quezon City.
TUNA PIE IS BACK
Jollibee has brought back its seasonal tuna pie, which now comes in two variants.
Aside from the original tuna pie, the snack now comes in a spicy version, with each priced at P45. A “Tuna Pie Trio” pack is also available for P123.
“It can’t be denied that there’s always a resounding clamor for everyone’s favorite tuna pie. Fans are excited to be able to order this Jollibee classic once again,” said Mari Aldecoa, Jollibee’s marketing director for core products.
“As we pride ourselves on having something for everyone as much as we can, we also wanted to give an extra surprise for fans of spicy food with new Spicy Tuna Pie, which they’ll definitely love!”
