MANILA – Catriona Gray is now a global ambassador for Smile Train, the cleft charity that she has been working with since she was crowned Miss Universe.
The beauty queen shared the good news in an Instagram post on Tuesday, saying she “can’t wait to travel and raise awareness for cleft around the world, as well as here in the Philippines.”
“Super honored to continue working to create smiles with Smile Train as their new global ambassador. Children’s causes have been and continue to be so close to my heart,” she said.
Smile Train has been a charity partner of the Miss Universe Organization since 2016.
Gray continued to support the organization even after her Miss Universe reign. Just last month, she raised funds to help Smile Train provide surgeries for children with cleft conditions.
Aside from Smile Train, Gray is also known for her charitable initiatives with Young Focus, which aims to make education accessible to the poorest children in the Philippines.
