MANILA – “When we see each other, it feels like we’ve never been apart.”

This is what Michele Gumabao said as she had a get-together with four of her batchmates in Binibining Pilipinas 2018.

Gumabao, who was crowned Bb. Pilipinas Globe, had dinner with Ahtisa Manalo (Bb. Pilipinas International), Jehza Huelar (Bb. Pilipinas Supranational), Vickie Rushton (first runner-up), and Samantha Bernardo (second runner-up).

She also did a shoutout to two fellow queens who were unable to join them – Catriona Gray (Miss Universe 2018) and Karen Gallman (Miss Intercontinental 2018).

“Didn’t realize how much I miss these crazy women until we all got together last night! Here’s to new beginnings!” said Gumabao, who has applied for the first-ever Miss Universe Philippines pageant.

Huelar similarly expressed her happiness over the reunion of Bb. Pilipinas 2018 queens on Instagram as she shared photos on Instagram, saying: “Friends found beyond work.”

Many pageant fans have dubbed the 2018 batch of Bb. Pilipinas winners as among the strongest in recent years, with most of its titleholders performing well in their respective international competitions.

Gumabao made it to the Top 15 of Miss Globe, Huelar finished in the Top 10 of Miss Supranational, and Manalo was proclaimed first runner-up in Miss International.

Gray and Gallman, on the other hand, made history with their title wins in Miss Universe and Miss Intercontinental, respectively.

Meanwhile, the crown remains elusive for the Philippines in Miss Grand International. Patalinjug, the country’s representative in 2018, bowed out early in the competition.
