Miss Intercontinental Karen Gallman reacts to Miss Vietnam

MANILA -- Miss Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman thanked fellow Filipinos for all their support when she visited "Umagang Kay Ganda" on Tuesday.

"Meant to be. I mean super saya. I feel so blessed talaga. Just really over the moon na I could do this not for myself but for the whole Philippines," said Gallman, the first Filipina to be crowned Miss Intercontinental.

"I'm so happy and I'm very grateful to all my supporters talaga. They'd been with me from Day 1."

Gallman said that as the new Miss Intercontinental, she will be promoting women empowerment in her visits to other countries.

Meanwhile, Gallman also shared her thoughts about fourth runner-up Ngân Anh Lê Âu from Vietnam, who wore a red gown similar to what Miss Universe Catriona Gray wore during the Miss Universe pageant.

"Actually hindi ko nakita, nalaman ko lang kahapon nakita ko sa TV na 'yun nga parang same 'yung ginawa niya with Catriona. For me, I think super fan, fanatic siya ni Catriona. I think she really looks up to Cat. So she's in the Philippines, so why not gawin 'yung Cat moves," Gallman said.
