WATCH: Coaches Jim and Toni Saret's 'fitness minute' to boost metabolism

MANILA -- Hoping to boost energy but you don't have enough time?

In TeleRadyo's Sakto on Wednesday, fitness coach Jim Saret and his wife Toni showed viewers a one-minute workout to boost metabolism.

According to Jim, who is also a Star Magic trainer, the one-minute workout is for everyone and can be done anywhere and any time. 

"Ang purpose nito is to boost metabolism. Kasi usually buong araw nakaupo lang tayo, wala tayong masyadong ginagawa, hindi ba? Sedentary lifestyle," he said.

"So itong one-minute o fitness minute na tinatawag natin ay malaking tulong talaga 'yan para sa atin pang-araw-araw," he added. 

For this exercise, you only need any secured chair.

"We have two movements. Dalawa 'yung galaw natin sa ating one-minute workout. So basically 30 seconds, 30 seconds. Ang gagawin natin ngayon ay ab workout para i-fire ang ating core, i-fire ang ating abs. So, ang first movement ay knee-to-chest, dadalhin lang natin ang ating tuhod sa ating dibdib," Jim explained.

"Yung next 30 seconds natin ay mag-o-oblique twist tayo. So mga kamay sa likod ng tainga at magti-twist tayo habang itinataas ang tuhod," he said.

Coach Jim stressed that when doing workout "go at your own pace."

"Kung medyo advance kayo bilisan natin ng konti ang workout pero medyo nagsisimula pa lang kayo then remember dahan-dahan lang po at ingatan natin ang ating mga galaw," he said.
