MANILA – The Manila Cathedral is extending its assistance to couples who are set to tie the knot in areas affected by the Taal Volcano eruption.
In a Twitter post, the Manila Cathedral said slots have been opened for January and February, which are normally considered peak months for weddings.
“A personal visit to the Cathedral office will be helpful for us to assist you with the process,” the post read.
The tourist favorite Taal Volcano remains under alert level 4 – which warns of a “hazardous” eruption in the next hours or days – since it first spewed ash last Sunday.
The natural calamity has since displaced communities, caused widespread damage to agriculture, cancelled flights, and put a halt to long-planned, important life events such as weddings.
