MANILA – Heart Evangelista could not help but be emotional as she and her older sister, Camille Ongpauco, touched on the topic of motherhood in a recent vlog.
“We were supposed to give birth at the same time,” recalled Evangelista as Ongpauco shared how her life changed with the arrival of her baby, Isabella.
Evangelista suffered two unfortunate miscarriages in 2018, losing what was supposed to be her first children with her husband, Sorsogon governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero.
After the miscarriage, the actress took a breather and opted to focus on building a name in the fields of fashion, art, and vlogging.
Ongpauco believes that the soul of Evangelista’s babies are also in her daughter.
But Evangelista had a different take on the miscarriage, prompting both of them to become emotional: “Or it can also be parang, kinausap muna niya [si Bella] na [mauna ka muna].”
Ongpauco went on to declare that her daughter, Bella, will help prepare Evangelista in her journey to motherhood.
“Feeling ko kaya unang pinadala si Bella is parang pine-prepare siya [to become a mother],” she said. “I’m happy kapag nakikita ko ‘yung binubuhat niya si Bella, ‘pag andiyan si Bella sa kanya… I know she’ll raise her and love her the same way I love my daughter.”
“So I can’t wait [to see her future children]. Alam kong [this is] practice for her, and excited na ako. Sana lang boy para ‘yung mga Hermes [na bags kay Bella na lang],” she added in jest.
