MANILA -- A special party was held recently to announce the final five acts to join the 2017 Wanderland music and arts festival, which we be held in March.
Featured acts Jensen and the Flips, Asch, Ang Bandang Shirley and Tom’s Story announced that this year's festival will be headlined by Australian indie music darlings The Temper Trap (“Sweet Disposition”) and English hitmakers The Ting-Tings (“That’s Not My Name”, “Shut Up and Let Me Go”, “Be The One”).
They will be joined by Malaysian indie artist Yuna, Texan post-rock band Explosions In The Sky and Canadian electronica duo Purity Ring.
These five bands join the roster of confirmed performances by Up Dharma Down, Honne, Lany, Woodlock, Gab and John of Urbandub, Tom’s Story, Fools and Foes, Reese Lansangan, Lola Amour, Banna Harbera and Reese Lansangan promising an afternoon of eclectic music.
In the past, Wanderland brought festival goers to camp and to outer space. This time, they’re bringing wanderers to the jungle.
Another change this year is the venue. This time, the festival will be held at Filinvest City Events Ground on March 4.
