De Lima twits Binay: Put your own affairs in order

President Benigno Aquino III's allies were quick to lash back at Vice President Jejomar Binay, who earlier called the administration inept and callous.

Like Aquino, Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said Binay should have raised his allegations when he was still with the Cabinet.

Justice Secretary Leila de Lima also denied Binay's accusations of "selective justice" under the present administration.

"Apparently the VP has not heard of the saying that people who live in glass houses should not throw stones. He should first put his own affairs in order, especially the corruption cases against him and members of his family, before he even starts talking of so called selective justice. There is no selective justice,'' De Lima said in a statement.

Caloocan Rep. Edgar Erice, for his part, called Binay ungrateful.

Erice -- a Liberal Party official... also accused Binay of using his position and government resources for his 2016 campaign.

"Iyung pagiging pangalawang pangulo utang na loob niya sa mga mamamayan. Pero yung pagiging cabinet secretary niya utang na loob nya sa Pangulo,'' Erice said.

''Despite na hindi sya kapartido binigyan sya ng pagkakataon pero ano ginawa nya?"
