DAVAO - Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, executive pastor of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ based in Davao City, denied Monday he is holding a grudge against his friend, presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte.
In a press conference, the pastor clarified news reports that said he is holding a grudge against the incoming president after they failed to meet last week.
He pointed out that he understands Duterte has been overwhelmed by the large number of people coming to meet him since last week.
Quiboloy said there have been several people coming to him, asking him to speak to Duterte about several concerns but that he has yet to talk to the incoming president.
He said he also spent time in fasting and prayer that God would grant wisdom to the new leadership.
Peter LaviƱa, Duterte’s transition team spokesman, earlier expressed his apologies to Quiboloy and other officials who have yet to meet the president.
Quiboloy, who endorsed Duterte in the May election, earlier said he was prepared to contribute billions to Duterte's campaign as well as lend him his jet to help him win the vote.
