WATCH: Heart cheers for Chiz at ABS-CBN debate

Actress Heart Evangelista cheered for vice-presidential candidate and Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero at ABS-CBN's "Harapan ng Bise."

The actress was caught on camera cheering for Escudero's as he ended his opening statement.

At the debate's outset, Escudero maintained that his tandem with Senator Grace Poe will rule with compassion for the poor if they are elected.

The independent candidate said that their Gobyernong May Puso will not allow another incident similar to the violent dispersal of rallying farmers in Kidapawan City, Cotabato.

"Layunin po namin na hindi na maulit ang nangyari, halimbawa sa Kidapawan, kung saan nanghihingi ng bigas ang ating mga magsasaka, ang ibinigay sa kanila ay bala," he said.

"Ito po ang buod, ito po ang kahulugan ng isang gobyernong may puso. Nais po namin tutukan ang pinaka-ugat ng problema."
