LAOAG - The vote of Sandro Marcos, son of vice-presidential bet Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., for president was invalidated after he mistakenly shaded two circles on the official ballot.
Wearing his father's campaign colors, the younger Marcos arrived at the polling precinct in Calayab Elementary School in Laoag City at around 7 a.m.
He was accompanied by his mother, Atty. Liza Marcos.
After casting his vote, Sandro asked for another ballot.
According to one of the boards of election inspectors (BEIs), Marcos mistakenly shaded two circles for the presidential position.
The board said they cannot replace the ballot unless BEIs are the ones who made a mistake.
The younger Marcos openly accepted the ruling. This means he has an invalid vote for the presidential post.
