WATCH: Duterte, Joma Sison chat online


MANILA - Davao City Mayor and presidential fontrunner Rodrigo Duterte and Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founder Jose Maria Sison were seen having a video chat online in a YouTube video posted by Kilab Multimedia.

Duterte and Sison talked via video chat following the release of five police officers, which the communist New People's Army (NPA) handed over to Duterte, nine days after the cops were abducted.

According to Kilab Multimedia, the video chat was facilitated by Exodus for Justice and Peace (EJP).

The Communist Party of the Philippines founder has been in exile in The Netherlands since 1987.

In a recent interview with ABS-CBN News, Sison said he talked to Duterte to thank him for helping in the negotiations for the release of the cops and to discuss plans for peace talks.
