#HarapanBise trends worldwide at no. 1

MANILA - The Kapamilya network did it again by garnering a massive number of tweets less than two hours after the ABS-CBN special "Harapan ng Bise" started.
The hashtag for ABS-CBN's "Harapan ng Bise," #HarapanBise, was the no. 1 top-trending topic in the Philippines and worldwide on Twitter.
Vice presidential candidates faced the nation anew in ABS-CBN's "Harapan ng Bise" debate to help voters choose the candidate best fit for the position.
Senators Alan Peter Cayetano, Chiz Escudero, Antonio Trillanes and Representative Leni Cayetano revealed their plans of action and answered questions from a panel of experts and from netizens.
The program started at 5:30 p.m., but less than two hours into the debates, the hashtag #HarapanBise was already dominating the top-trending topics on Twitter.
Netizens and supporters took to social media to express their reactions to the vice presidential debates.
Moderated by seasoned journalists Alvin Elchico and Lynda Jumilla, was simulcast live on ANC, DZMM TeleRadyo, The Filipino Channel, and on news.abs-cbn.com via live streaming.
"Harapan ng Bise" is part of ABS-CBN’s “Ipanalo Ang Pamilyang Pilipino” election campaign, which encourages Filipinos to vote for candidates who uphold the interest and welfare of their families.
