Six months after the launch of her humor book "Stupid is Forever" late last year, Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago released yet another best-selling book, again filled with unforgettable quotes, pick-up lines, and witty comebacks from the feisty senator.
Santiago's "Stupid is Forevermore" surely got the attention of hundreds of thousands of Filipinos, making it the most read nation story in 2015.
"Taken ka nga, for granted naman," an excerpt from her book read.
Santiago announced only during the week of the filing of certificates of candidacy (COCs) in October that she will be joining the presidential race in 2016, saying her cancer tumors have "already died."
While many were thrilled with her decision to seek the presidency, some also questioned if she would be able to survive her six-year-term, if and when she wins. But the senator refused to bare her medical records and stressed that the fact that she can stand straight and speak in front of a crowd is enough proof that she is doing well.
