ITALY – A Filipina is among the finalists of the singing contest Premio Mia Martini 2010, which will be held on October 7 to 10 in Reggio Calabria.
Myles San Jose will go up against 28 other foreign contestants who will vie for the best original composition in Italian language.
“Nag-audition talaga ako at pumila talaga ako. Maraming hirap, pawis, sacrifice, kasi composition, and you have to make your own,” said San Jose.
San Jose’s family is thankful that the 28-year-old Pinay’s hard work has finally paid off.
Her family is her source of support and inspiration.
San Jose’s vocal instructor is also proud of what she has already achieved.
In 2001, San Jose bagged the 1st place in the LBC International Contest and placed 2nd in a singing contest in Madrid, Spain. She also got the 3rd spot in the Premio Concorso Canoro Filipino in Italy in 2008. - Jocelyn Ruiz, ABS-CBN Europe News Bureau
