MANILA - The family of a Filipino woman who went missing 23 years ago finally found closure with the discovery of skeletal remains that matched her DNA.
According to a report by the Los Angeles Times, the skeletal remains were found in the high desert of San Bernardino County.
The report said authorities used DNA to identify Jovita Collazo.
Collazo was 38-years old when she was reported missing in 1992.
Her then boyfriend, Michael Richardson, is charged with her death. He is also charged with the death of his wife and mother-in-law in 2010.
Richardson was handed down six life sentences for the death of the three women.
