MANILA -- The Playgirls, who performed at the birthday party of Laguna 4th District Rep. Benjamin Agarao last Thursday, were asked to change their outfits into something ''sexier,'' their manager Michael Tupaz said Saturday.

Speaking on DZMM, Tupaz said the girls arrived wearing leggings and were supposed to perform in this outfit until someone told them to change into sexier ones.

He also explained that they always ask their clients for restrictions, given that they usually perform sexy dances.

Depende naman po sa client kung ano ang restrictions," Tupaz said, adding that they were not told to change their routine.

According to Tupaz, the "raunchy" performance posted online was only part of their games, adding it does not really look that bad if the whole performance had been uploaded.

Tupaz also said they have previously been invited by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Francis Tolentino to perform for his brother's campaign in 2013.

At that time, they were given strict orders to wear t-shirts and jeans.

He also believes the emcee thought they were invited by Tolentino since the Playgirls went to the stage as soon as Tolentino's speech was finished.

Tupaz earlier said that a certain Joanna invited them to the event.

Tupaz said a certain Joanna booked and paid for the girls' performance for the event.

It was a birthday event," he added.
