MANILA - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) announced Saturday that a total of 12,103 elementary teachers out of 44,144 examinees and 17,904 secondary teachers out of 56,596 examinees successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.) given last March 29, 2015 in Singapore and 17 testing centers across the Philippines.
Vincent Atienza Isidro of the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman clinched the top spot in the LET for elementary teachers with a rating of 90.40%.
Isidro was followed by Cricelle Marie Baclagon Del Mundo of UP Diliman (88.20%), and Ann Clarice Briones Fajardo of the University of Asia & the Pacific Pasig and Reina Angeli Catamin Tamayo (87.80%).

Meanwhile, Herminigilda Cabrera Notario of the North Valley College Foundation Inc. topped the list of those who passed the LET for secondary teachers with a score of 91.40%.
Notario was followed by Mel Brian Daño Berida of the UP Visayas-Tacloban City (91.20%), and Jefferson Egana Flores of the Leyte Normal University, Christian Bernardo Manaloto of Miriam College and Jayrald Dalisay Socorro of the University of Mindanao - Davao City (90%).

The Board for Professional Teachers is composed of Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Vice Chairman; Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy, Members.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on June 1, 2015.
The requirements are:
- duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal,
- latest Community Tax Certificate (Cedula),
- 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag),
- metered documentary stamp for the Oath Form,
- initial registration fee of P600,
- annual registration fee of P450 for 2015 to 2018
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The dates and venues for the oathtaking ceremonies will be announced later.
