Davao on a roll: Davao grad tops LET

A teacher who graduated from a Davao university has brought pride to the city following Dabawenyo Rodrigo Duterte's win in the May 9 presidential elections.

Rowena Miano Hingpit of University of Mindanao in Davao City topped the licensure examination for elementary teachers given last March 20.

Duterte is the Philippines' first president from Davao City. Some of his appointees, including Carlos 'Sonny' Dominguez for finance, are also from Davao City.

The successful examinees who garnered the 10 highest places in the March 2016 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) are:

ROLL OF SUCCESSFUL EXAMINEES:

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Professional Teachers (BPT) announced Thursday that 12,128 elementary teachers and 18,810 secondary teachers successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) given last March 20, 2016 in twenty testing centers all over the Philippines.

The results were released in 41 working days from the last day of examination.

Starting May 30 - June 2, 2016 (elementary) and June 3 - June 10, 2016 (secondary), registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag) and 2 sets of documentary stamps. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced later.
