Throughout their six-year relationship, actress-host Anne Curtis and Filipino-French chef Erwan Heussaff have kept private their personal lives.
Last week, Curtis and Heussaff made headlines as reports of their engagement surfaced.
Curtis, one of the most bankable stars of her generation, acknowledged her relationship with Heussaff in 2011.
In the same year, Curtis already introduced Heussaff to her family.
After six years, Curtis finally confirmed her engagement with Heussaff.
Here's a brief timeline of Anne and Erwan's love story.
In July 2011, Curtis confirmed that she introduced Heussaff to her family. In an interview with “Showbiz News Ngayon,” Curtis said: “Last year pa iyon actually. Matagal na. Last year pa sila nag-meet actually so medyo huli na kayo sa balita.This year hindi siya nakasama because of work so it was really just family talaga.”
In September 2011, Curtis and Heussaff flew to Europe for a romantic vacation, weeks after the actress acknowledged that Heussaff already met her family.
In July 2012, Carmen Ojales, Curtis' mother, gave Heussaff her stamp of approval. In an interview on "Kris TV," Ojales said she is getting along with Heussaff. "Yes. He is a nice guy. Sa palagay ko, OK naman si Erwan," she said.
In June 2013, Heussaff told ABS-CBN News that he and Curtis are in no rush to get married. “We are busy and we are in love so it’s good.”
In February 2014, Curtis laughed off rumors that she married Heussaff in Australia. "Hindi pa ako nakakapunta ng Australia, nakakatawa yon," Curtis told ABS-CBN News.
Erwan calls rumors about split with Anne 'ridiculous'
In May 2014, Heussaff denied that he had broken up with Curtis. In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Heussaff also slammed those who spread the rumor. "I consider those statements, those people . . . they are not worth my time," he said. "I don’t want to bother myself with them."
Last January, Curtis and Heussaff spent some quality time as they went hiking in the small mountain village of El Chalten in Patagonia, South America.
Last August, Curtis and Heussaff made their first travel diary, which showed a glimpse of the couple's travels together, as well as the sights and sounds at the Fuji Rock Festival, said to be Japan’s largest outdoor music event.
In November, Heussaff showed Curtis his support at the prestigious New York Marathon. According to Curtis, she got engaged to Heussaff during their trip to the U.S. after she participated in the marathon.
On December 19, Curtis turned emotional when she confirmed on “It’s Showtime” that she is already engaged to her long-time boyfriend. Having been in the public eye for most of her life, Curtis thought it was important that she shared the good news to all her supporters.
