MANILA -- The Nation's Girl Group, BINI, got a treat on Tuesday as they were visited by Asia's Songbird, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, during their rehearsals for their upcoming concert.

In a long conversation with Velasquez-Alcasid, the eight-piece group received valuable advice on vocal exercises, pre-performance diet, and life lessons.

Speaking to ABS-CBN News after their talk, Velasquez-Alcasid shared some of the tips that she gave to BINI -- including eating rice three to four hours before a concert, and enjoying every moment on stage. She encouraged the girls to focus on entertaining their audience and letting their energy shine through.

"Just enjoy it. When you're doing a concert, hindi mo mahe-help ang sarili mo. You will really enjoy it, because your audience will just give you love. Biruin mo, ikaw ang purpose mo lang is to entertain, but your audience will just ... Kung ano 'yung energy na you're putting out, ibabalik nila 'yun sa'yo, ten-fold," she said.

The music icon also expressed her pride for BINI, as they are now making their way in the international music scene.

"Natutuwa ako kasi, they're giving life to OPM. Kumbaga, hindi lang sa sarili nila, sa career nila. They're actually bringing life to our music. Tapos, ipinapakilala nila pa sa buong mundo 'yung music natin," she said.

Velasquez-Alcasid reminded the girls to remain grateful for the opportunities they have been given, as not everyone is fortunate enough to pursue their passion in the music industry. She encouraged them to stay humble and remember that success is not guaranteed to last forever.

"Just remember to be grateful, [and] remember that hindi lahat ng tao nabibigyan ng ganitong klaseng opportunity at its not always gonna be like this," said Asia's Songbird.

The BINI members were grateful not just for Velasquez-Alcasid's advice, but also for her support ever since the start of their careers.

"Nakita niya 'yung growth namin, na unti-unti na naming natutupad ang mga pangarap namin," said BINI Maloi.

"Si Miss Reg po ang isa talaga sa mga taong unang naniwala sa amin," added BINI Jhoanna. "Unang salang namin sa ASAP, andoon siya. Pinapakita niya talaga 'yung support niya sa amin ever since, so thankful po kami for Miss Reg."

BINI will take the stage for their three-day sold out concert from June 28-30 at the New Frontier Theater.

Ahead of their "BINIverse" concert, the Nation's Girl Group is set to perform at Love Laban 2 Everyone, the Pride Month festival of Quezon City on Saturday. They will also the BINI Run on Sunday, June 23, at the Quirino Grandstand.
