Both Pascual and Dantes were recognized by the MIFF jurors for their respective 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival movie entry "Mallari" and "Rewind."

Aside from Pascual and Dantes, Vilma Santos-Recto was named the Best Actress. Christopher De Leon also received the award on her behalf.

Meanwhile, the movie "Firefly" also received major awards including Best Picture, Best Screenplay, and Best Diector while, "GomBurZa" was judged Best in Cinematography and Audience Choice Award.
