MANILA -- Vina Morales s back in the country for an intimate concert slated on November 16, and also just in time for birthday on October 17. 

This is Morales’ comeback show in Manila since she has always been away doing shows overseas. Last year, she wrapped up her stint on Broadway in the musical “Here Lies Love.”

 “I haven’t done a concert here (in a while). Mostly when I’m here, palaging corporate shows or events, out of town concerts. But this one is ticketed. It’s been a while. Mostly, I’ve been away in the (United) States,” she said.

 Her romance with Andrew Kovalcin also kept Morales away from Manila for a while but she has confirmed that they have broken up.

“Wala na kami. I’m back to being single, ready to mingle. Wala pa, pero hindi ko na masyado pinu-push ‘yun sa buhay ko,” she said.

 "Hindi na siya priority, kasi before nalulungkot ako pag wala akong love life. Parang ano ba ‘yan nakakalungkot wala pa ring dumarating. Pero ngayon, eh may dumarating nawawala. So ibig sabihin wala pa rin talaga. So hindi ko na pinipilit,” she added.

Morales promises to deliver an exciting and entertaining show on November 16 at the grand ballroom of the Winford Hotel in Manila.

Meanwhile, Morales also shared that her ex-boyfriend Cedric Lee and their daughter Ceana are in speaking terms, adding that she never stopped Ceana from visiting and talking to her father.

“Bakit ko naman pipigilan? Tatay niya ‘yun. Full support naman ako diyan sa relationship nila. There are in good terms. She was able to visit him,” she said.

 Does Ceana know the whole story about her dad? Morales admits she’s unsure if Ceana knows. “I haven’t asked and I don’t think it’s the right time to ask her pa,” she said.

Lee had surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) after the Taguig Regional Trial Court in May found him, Deniece Cornejo and two other respondents guilty in the serious illegal detention case filed by actor-host Vhong Navarro.

Ceana is now 15 years old and a member of a pep squad. 

“Alam kong a little bit shy ‘yung anak ko, but when she asked me na ‘Mommy, I want to join a pep squad’. Sabi ko, ‘Anak, sure ka?’ Sabi niya, ‘Yeah I wanna try.’ Pumasok naman,” Morales said.

“Minsan pinapa-dance class ko siya para ma-improve ‘yung confidence.

“For me, para lang sa kanya na mag-decide na sumali sa isang pep squad. Para sa akin achievement na yun. Uy, tumataas na level ng confidence ng anak ko,” she said.
