The horror film “Eerie,” the Sarah Geronimo-starrer “Miss Granny,” and “Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wi-Fi” ranked among the most popular movie releases on Netflix in the past year.
Topping the list is the action flick “6 Underground.” Other films that made the cut are “Murder Mystery,” “The Perfect Date,” “The Silence,” “Isn’t It Romantic,” “Always Be My Maybe,” and “Secret Obsession.”
K-drama, meanwhile, appeared to be a hit among Filipinos in 2019, going by the list of most popular series releases. “Hotel de Luna,” “Kingdom,” and “Love Alarm” ranked among Western productions.

“The Witcher” star Henry Cavill’s recent visit to the Philippines may have helped catapult the show to the No. 1 spot, despite being released just last December 20. (Titles released this month include viewing predictions, Netflix said.)
Also ranking in the top 10 series are “Sex Education,” “Stranger Things 3,” “The Umbrella Academy,” “Kingdom,” “Black Summer,” “Lucifer,” and “Titans.”
Overall, “6 Underground” was the most popular title across series and movie releases among Filipinos, Netflix said, with “Eerie” and “Miss Granny” still ranking in the top 5 in the mixed list.
