MANILA -- Theater actor Poppert Bernadas moved on to the next round of the competition, completing the nine artists on Team Sarah in the second season of "The Voice of the Philippines."
Bernadas, who turned four chairs during the Blind Auditions, competed against Jireh Singson during the Battle Round, which aired on Sunday.
The two performed Nexxus' hit "I'll Never Go," which showed of their vocal range.
The coaches praised their performance, with Bamboo, who chose Singson, noting that both were successful in sustaining their powerful performance.
But Sarah Geronimo eventually chose Bernadas, citing that he is ready to move on to the next round.
Bernadas advanced to the Knockout Rounds together with Carol Leus, Demie Fresco, Jason Dy, Jason Fernandez, Kokoi Baldo, Mark Douglas Dagal, Monique Lualhati, and Shaira Cervancia.
