MANILA -- It isn’t every day where any common Juan can play bowling, billiards, or sing karaoke with their favorite rock stars.

Soupstar bands Sandwich, Moonstar88, Imago, We Got, Banda ni Kleggy, Pedicab, Gracenote, Kurei, KJah and Juss Rye, Better Days, The Vowels They Orbit, and 6cyclemind will get to perform and have fun with music fans in the annual Soupstar Bowl at the SM Megamall Bowling Center on Wednesday, December 18.

“That’s 12 bands in one night and they will not only perform, but they will mingle with the fans who wish to play and challenge them in billiards, bowling, or even karaoke,” said Soupstar impresario Darwin Hernandez who knows a thing or two about music having penned hits like Moonstar88’s “Torete” and The Vowels They Orbit’s blockbuster, “Selos.”

“I’m excited for the very first Soupstar Bowl,” gushed Moonstar88 vocalist and guitarist Maysh Baay. “It’s probably the first bowling and rock gig in the country. While I may not be a good bowler, I think my competitiveness would bring fun to the table and I’m excited as well to bring Moonstar88’s imports to add spice to the game and the gig! Humanda kayo!”

Added Sandwich’s Raymund Marasigan: “It’s the annual Soupstar Fans Night, but this time it’s going to be a show in a bowling alley and we have a secret weapon and will destroy in bowling.”

Fans will get the chance to participate by purchasing VIP tickets for P800 that will allow them to play bowling, billiards or join in a karaoke challenge or for P500 participate in one free bowling game.

The gates to the Soupstar Bowl open at 5 p.m. with the tickets available at the gate.
