MANILA — A year after he fell victim to Nikko Natividad’s prank call, Vice Ganda took his turn to get back at his “It’s Showtime” co-host on the same radio program.

During his recent guesting on MOR 101.9 to promote his Christmas Day film “The Mall, The Merrier,” Vice Ganda phoned Natividad about a supposed heated discussion over the latter’s antics on “It’s Showtime.”

Vice Ganda claimed that the program’s director, Bobet Vidanes, was fuming and wanted Natividad fired, after he made a joke involving a recent guest, musician Raymund Marasigan.

Natividad, in the scenario made up by Vice Ganda, previously tested the patience of Vidanes when he appeared on camera with a bottle tucked inside his pants.

The incident with Marasigan, Vice Ganda added, was the last straw for Vidanes.

“Nakapagmura nga, e. Sabi, ‘Bakit bastos ‘yang demonyong ‘yan? Bakit lumalaki ‘yung ulo? Hinahayaan niyo kasi, e!’ Bakit hindi ka raw ni-reprimand, hindi ka raw sinuspinde?” the comedian told Natividad.

Sounding defeated, Natividad said, “Sakit ng ulo ko… Hindi ko alam gagawin ko, Ate.”

Finally exposing the ruse, Vice Ganda gave Natividad a piece of advice: “Kasi alam mo, iisipin mo ‘yung mga ginagawa mo. Parang dati, natatandaan mo, prinank mo ako sa MOR 101.9? Kaya nga ngayon, pinaprank din kita, para makaganti ako sa ‘yo!”

“Hayop na ‘yan! Ate naman!” Natividad said, adding he was genuinely concerned over losing his job.

Vice Ganda’s revenge prank on Natividad came over a year after the Hashtags member, also on MOR 101.9, called the comedian to seek advice over his coming to terms with being bisexual.

The prank call unfolded as a heartwarming conversation about coming out, with Vice Ganda offering to help Natividad navigate the world with his newfound identity. Vice Ganda’s genuine response had Natividad instantly regretting the lie, which they subsequently discussed on live television via “It’s Showtime.”
