Mocha Girls hopes for 'love life'

One the country’s hot girl-groups, Mocha Girls, announced their first debut film, “Sumpa,” with actor Joross Gamboa.

In an interview, the sexy girl-group shared their excitement about their first movie project.

“First acting namin ito, first movie. ’Yun pong movie with Joross Gamboa ay ipapalabas na ‘yon last week of January 2009,” Mocha Uson, the leader of the group said.

Mocha said the sexy-horror independent film also stars veteran actor Mark Gil.

The film tells the story of a woman, played by Mocha, haunting the house of her former lover, played by Mark Gil. The house was given to Gamboa, who plays the role of Mark's nephew. Gamboa then discovers that the woman was living in the same house. Gamboa tries to discover the real identity of the woman whom he falls in love with. He has no idea that Mocha is already dead.

“Sumpa” is the first indie film produced by Yellow Media and is directed by Carlos Agustin and Melvin Brito.

The Mocha Girls are currently busy with showbiz commitments. In February 2009, the girls will have their US tour where they will be doing shows in California, Seattle, New York, Las Vegas, Guam and Hawaii.

When asked about their other plans for the coming year, the group said: “Sana magkaroon ulit ng second movie, third album, at love life.”

Just recently, Mocha Girls released their second album, “Deliciosa.”
