FLORENCE - The Philippines' primetime king Coco Martin is headlining the 10th anniversary of "Kapamilya Fiesta World" (KFW) in Florence.
In an exclusive interview in Italy, the "Ang Probinsyano" star was more than happy to talk about his newest project, a remake of the epic fantasy movie "Ang Panday."
A passion project of his—having written the script, directed, and starred in it—Martin said that it was no mean feat to wear so many hats for one project.
He even quipped that the had to set aside his love life, as he worked on his reimagining of the classic.
Martin shared that he's proud of the final result, explaining that he tried to adapt the story, first popularized by legendary actor Fernando Poe Jr. in the 1980s, for a more modern audience.
ABS-CBN Regional and The Filipino Channel bring the celebrations of KFW on December 8 at 4 p.m. at the Obihall ,Teatro, Di Firenze, Via Fabrizio De Andre in Florence.
Joining Martin is his "Ang Probinsyano" co-stars Yassi Pressman, John Prats, and child actor Awra Briguela. The event will be hosted by comedian Pooh.
