MANILA, Philippines - Kapamilya shows and stars dominated the 2011 Anak TV Seal Awards held in Quezon City on Thursday morning.
The Makabata Stars, or those who are most trusted and admired by the youth, include Gerald Anderson, Coco Martin, John Lloyd Cruz, Luis Manzano, Piolo Pascual, Kim Chiu, Anne Curtis, Sarah Geronimo, Toni Gonzaga, Angel Locsin, Judy Ann Santos, Kim Atienza, Noli de Castro, Ted Failon, Karen Davila, Bernadette Sembrano and ABS-CBN president Charo Santos Concio.
The following shows aired on ABS-CBN made it to Anak TV's list of child-sensitive programs: "Failon Ngayon," "Junior MasterChef," "Matanglawin," "Kabuhayang Swak na Swak," "Rated K," "Salamat Dok," "Wansapanataym: Why Not?," "I Got It," "Dora the Explorer," "Spongebob Squarepants" and "Jimmy Neutron."
ABS-CBN shows that made it to Anak TV's list of top favorite programs include "Matanglawin," "Maalaala Mo Kaya," "Budoy," "Showtime," "100 Days to Heaven" and "TV Patrol."
The Makabata Hall of Fame awardees, meanwhile, include Korina Sanchez, Julius Babao and Gary Valenciano.
"I dedicate this award to my wife, Tintin, anniversary namin today, and my children," Babao said.
Sanchez, for her part, said: "Sa taon-taon namin dito, madalas namin sabihin kung gaano kaimportante ang boto ng Anak TV dahil ito po ay nagsasabi na ehemplo kami ng kabataan. Na ang ganitong uri ng tropeo ay nangunguna sa aming iskaparate."
"I'd like to dedicate this to my husband, Mar Roxas, and sa aking magiging anak, harinawa," she added.
