She was more than willing to say that Ryle Santiago, a member of the boy group Hashtags, is someone "very special" to her.
But actress Kira Balinger was more reluctant to answer the question of whether they're a couple or not.
On "Tonight with Boy Abunda" this Thursday, Balinger tried to clarify the real score between her and Santiago. Though her refusal to put a label on their relationship certainly didn't help her cause.
"Basta ang masasabi ko is he's very special to me. Para sa amin po, hindi po masyadong importante iyong mga labels," she said.
She went on to say that their friendship hasn't changed, despite rumors suggesting that they became a couple but broke up.
"We're really okay. We're good friends. Kung ano man iyong friendship na mayroon kami dati, iyon pa rin ngayon," she added.
It was just last month when Santiago opened up about his feelings for Balinger, describing her as his "confidante."
"Siya lang 'yung babaeng close sa akin na wala sa pamilya ko. Sa kanya ako nagko-confide, sa kanya ako nagrereklamo. Ganun lang. Lagi po kaming nagkakamustahan, nag-uusap. So parang closer and closer," he said of their closeness.
Balinger was on the late night talk show to promote "Spirits Reawaken," an original movie which can be viewed on iWant. You can watch the trailer below:
