MANILA -- Kokoi Baldo, the reggae singer who turned four chairs during the Blind Auditions, moves on to the next round of competition on "The Voice of the Philippines" after proving his versatility on the show's episode that aired on Sunday.

For the Battle Rounds, Baldo was paired with Elmerjun Hilario, a wedding singer who can also play several instruments.

Coach Sarah Geronimo chose Mr. Big's "To Be With You," which Baldo admits does not fit his voice.

"Kinakabahan ako sa kalaban ko kasi alam ko, kinakanta niya ['yun]," Baldo said.

Bamboo went with Hilario, admiring how he was able to maneuver his way through the song, while Lea Salonga and both chose Baldo, admiring his unique voice.

Geronimo praised both Hilario and Baldo, adding that she purposely chose a song away from Baldo's genre to be fair to both singers.

"Pero para sa akin, ang talagang nangibabaw ay si Sir Kokoi," Geronimo said.

Baldo moves on to the next round of competition, joining Jason Dy, Jason Fernandez and Monique Lualhati on Team Sarah.
