She's definitely one of a kind.
After winning the Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 Grand Star Dreamer, Laarni Lozada has added another feather to her cap with the release of her self-titled debut CD.
In an interview, Lozada, the newest recording star couldn't hide her excitement as she was given a chance to prove her prowess in singing. She also extended her appreciation to ABS-CBN's music outfit Star Records for trusting her and producing the record.
"I'm really happy and honored for this opportunity that Star Records has given me... thank you," Lozada said.
Dubbed as the "Independent Woman" from Sultan Kudarat, Lozada shared that it took her one month to complete the album.
"Sobrang pinaghirapan namin ito, at kahit nagkakasakit na ako ay okay lang dahil maganda talaga ang kinalabasan," Lozada added.
Her carrier single titled "Kung Iniibig Ka Niya," was composed by well-acclaimed musician Vehnee Saturno.
Included in Lozada's CD are songs -- “You're Someone I belong To,” “Sa 'Yo Lamang," “Alipin Ako,” “Bakit Nga Mahal Kita,” and “Manalig Ka.”
It will be recalled that it was last September 30, Wednesday, when Lozada signed a one-year-contract under Star Records.
"One year contract under Star Records.. CD muna so ‘yon ang pinag-uusapan," she said.
Lozada said that after the PDA, she is now focusing on her first project -- her album, but said that she is still open to do any other project that will come along the way.
Right now, Lozada is wishing to be a regular performer for ABS-CBN's weekly variety show ASAP '08.
