MANILA — By his own admission, American actor Stephen Baldwin has a self-imposed rule when it comes to media interviews: that he would not discuss his family.
But the Hollywood star made an exception Monday as he sat down with ABS-CBN News’ Mario Dumaual, ahead of the December 4 release of “Kaibigan,” a Philippine-produced faith-based film in which he stars.
Baldwin plays the father of twin brothers (Jesse Perkins and Christian Perkins), whose clashing values fuel their rivalry as they navigate high school.
Owing to the film’s message rooted in faith, family, and restoration, Baldwin apparently saw it apt to mention his own personal relationships, in light of the approaching holidays.
Baldwin is father to model and TV personality Hailey Baldwin, whose romance and subsequent marriage with music superstar Justin Bieber have made headlines in the past year.
“For the first time ever — and I never talk about my family in interviews — I’m going to be in Los Angeles with my daughter Alaia and her husband Andrew, and my daughter Hailey and her husband Justin,” Baldwin said.
“So I’m going to have a little Christmas with Alaia, Andrew, Hailey, and Justin,” he added, before turning to the camera to shush. “It’s going to be a lovely Christmas. We’re going to celebrate the birth of Jesus. We’re excited.”
